The Hannah Grace Tournament was established in 2004 as a memorial event for my niece, Hannah Grace, who passed away from an illness called Turner Syndrome.  Being able to turn a bad situation into one that could help others was something very important to me.  Over the last 5 years the HG meet has grown to become the largest Spear Fishing Tournament in the North East.  The MAGIC Foundation ( www.magicfoundation.org ) and the children affiliated with this national non-profit organization will receive 100% of the profits from our tournament. Please join us on Saturday, September 13 to again make a difference.

The Hannah Grace Tournament is a one day, largest fish event featuring two categories:  Largest Bass & Largest Tautog

Competitors may weigh in one fish in each category with prizes being awarded for the top three bass and top three tautog. 

Divers may pre-register by contacting Rob @ newportfreediveco@cox.net or sign up the day of the meet at Kings Beach, Newport – from 7am till noon.  Registration closes at noon!!

Diving may take place from shore, boat, submarine, kayak or sea plane.  Hunting (free diving only – no SCUBA ) is not restricted to a specific area but you must be at the weigh-in station by 4pm. 

Registration fee is $30.00.  Pre-Registered divers may start hunting at sunrise!

After the weigh-in there will be food, drinks and a raffle featuring lots of great dive gear!  

Again, all of the profits will go to The MAGIC Foundation so bring the check book!!!!!
